傳國泰航空再次大瘦身 砍150億台幣成本
【大紀元2018年07月31日訊】（大紀元記者陳語馨台灣台北報導）不敵中國廉價航空崛起，香港國泰航空繼去年宣布在香港裁員600名後，近日再傳出公司將進一步瘦身，這次計畫裁撤海外員工，預計分3年的時間整頓海外事業體，共將藉此節省40億港元的成本（約新台幣158億元），又以機師等成本支出將被大動刀，預計減少10億元相關支出。
綜合媒體報導，國泰航空在全球有100個據點，員工人數約7600名，其中以澳洲、英國及美國等地的員工最多。而這波瘦身計劃，經整合海外銷售、行銷、貨運和機場營運等。
國泰航空證實，公司員工已收到內部訊息，重組工作確實將進行，快則在未來幾個月內陸續展開。至於受影響人數，國泰航空暫未對外透露。
中國廉價航空崛起，衝擊傳統航空業者，國泰航空執行長何杲（Rupert Hogg）去年5月上任後企圖扭轉劣勢，並宣布在香港展開裁員，當時裁撤600名員工。國泰航空去年有新飛機，持續強化其競爭力。
