滙豐銀行轉守為攻 計劃擴張亞洲業務

【大紀元2018年06月12日訊】（大紀元記者胡偉報導）英國滙豐銀行（HSBC）行政總裁范寧（John Flint）表示，未來3年將投入150-170億美元（約1,170億－1,326億港元）推動業務及科技發展。重點除香港及中國等亞洲核心市場外，也準備擴展在歐美國家的業務。這宣布意味滙豐將調整其2008年金融危機後所採取的保守策略，從成本削減和重組轉向投資和增長。
范寧表示會按照原先計劃，將有形股本回報率 2017年的6.8%提升到11%。他説：「經過一段時間的重組。滙豐現應重新走上增長運作模式。」
滙豐將透過8項優先策略，包括加快亞洲的業務增長；擴大英國的借貸業務；投入資源發展科技；提升業務能力等。滙豐也希望能將美國的業務轉虧為盈，將專注增大中型企業中的市場佔有額。該行在2003年收購專門經營向消費者貸的機構Household，造成了150億美元的損失。
倫敦傑佛瑞國際的分析師約瑟夫迪克森指，滙豐宣稱維持目前的股息水準, 而不是一些投資者期望的增長，頗為令人失望。他不認為消息會為滙豐股價帶來太大刺激。滙豐昨天在港收市微升0.5%，報76.95港元。◇
