優步自駕車撞死人 豐田北美測試計劃喊停

【大紀元2018年03月21日訊】（大紀元記者張東光綜合報導）在優步（Uber）測試中的自駕車Volvo XC90上週日晚間於美國亞歷桑納州坦佩市撞死一名過馬路的婦人後，雖然該市警長公布初步調查結果顯示，車禍的責任不在Uber，是該婦人突然闖進車道使然，然而，自駕車的安全問題仍引起廣泛的討論。
週一，優步公司取消了在北美的自駕車測試。豐田汽車週二（20日）也跟著宣布終止在美國公用道路上的自駕車測試，通用和福特汽車則表示測試計劃仍將繼續進行。
近幾年來，自動駕駛汽車成為一個汽車界最熱門的創新領域，除了吸引了傳統的各大車廠外，谷歌母公司Alphabet、蘋果公司和電動車大廠特斯拉等眾多的科技先驅也爭相湧入該領域。
《金融時報》報導，豐田汽車在終止美國公用道路的自駕測試時表示，該公司特別注重駕駛的安全，該公司的中止自駕測試計劃純粹是一個預防性的手段。不過，豐田汽車仍將持續在日本和美國的封閉道路上進行自駕車的測試。
通用汽車表示，將持續在加州、密西根州和亞利桑納州進行自駕車的測試，明年增加在美國幾個城市的測試計劃也維持不變。通用的自駕車子公司Cruise目前是加州最大的自駕車營運商，已核准進行自駕測試的車輛達110輛。
該公司2019年推出自駕車的計劃仍然不變，但會在安全無虞之後才正式上市。
美國汽車製造商聯盟（AAM）週一表示，儘管發生了自駕車撞死人的悲劇，該聯盟仍重申致力於自駕技術的開發，堅稱人為事故的占比高達94%，自駕車仍攸關未來的道路安全。
然而，反對自駕車上路的衛道人士卻呼籲，在主管機關完成對撞人事件的調查之前，美國立法機關應延後修改自駕車的聯邦法案AV START 。
在美國，目前僅有一些州允許自駕測試上路，但要求要有駕駛人在車內監督，只有亞利桑那州開放無人類駕駛的自駕車上路，這讓許多自駕車公司湧入當地進行測試服務。
部分專家預測，在Uber週日的撞人事件後，美國自駕車的法規鬆綁可能出現阻礙，或許就連最寬鬆的亞利桑那州也會因此收回一些自駕測試的許可。該事件也讓美國及加拿大多個城市叫停了自駕車測試計劃。＃
